What is Demiplane?
Demiplane creates digital toolsets for playing tabletop role-playing games which can be used as an aid to playing in-person or remotely online. Demiplane NEXUS Platforms provides access to digital rulebooks, adventures, and other supplements; it also provides digital tools like a character builder and character sheets.
What is a NEXUS?
A NEXUS is a digital companion with several different components for players and GMs.
- Character Tools. Stylish, powerful tools to build and play your character with tooltips and cross-linking so you can learn the game while building your character.
- Digital Compendiums. These compendiums are not just about the rules, mechanics, and game world. More than a PDF, the digital compendiums are your best friend at the table. They have tooltips, cross-linking, and a searchable function so you can get information quickly without having to stop the game. This means you can stay immersed in the game world while easily accessing the information you need.
- Digital Listings. Everything you need is broken into filterable listings! It's also searchable, which helps you quickly find what you need.

Content Sharing. Grab a Demiplane subscription and share your NEXUS titles, along with ALL of your other Demiplane Nexus titles, with up to 24 friends (or frenemies) of your choice.

Our NEXUSes are designed to be versatile, catering to your gaming needs on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. This adaptability ensures you can enjoy your game sessions wherever you are.
Are these official content?
Yes! We worked directly with the publishing partners that make the games you love. They are with us every step of the way as we create NEXUS Platforms to make sure we represent their game properly.
What are character tools?
Players and GMs get to enjoy a ton of different digital character tools, including pregenerated characters.
- Character Builder. The Character Builder will walk you through how to create your next character. The benefits of the digital compendium also apply, with tooltips, rules, and mechanics to help you along the way.
- Character Sheet. This is your Character Sheet! Not only can you check out your character’s stats, but you can roll inside the sheet, and find rules references with the click of a button.
- PDF Export > Print. Most NEXUS Platforms have PDF Export > Print option for those who would instead print and play with a physical copy. This feature allows you to have a physical copy of your character sheet, which can be useful for some players or for backup during online play.
- And you can share your sheet! With a direct link or QR code, quickly connect your sheet to your GM or other players. With Edit Permissions, you can allow your GM to adjust your sheet, too.
Do we need a subscription to play?
You do not need a subscription to enjoy the benefits of the Demiplane. You can create characters in the Character Tools for free using options available in the free primer (a slice of the core rules). These basic rules also include pregenerated characters to help you start playing at no cost.
If you want to expand your character creation count of seven active characters or you want to content share your purchases with up to 24 friends (from ANY and ALL Nexuses you own digital books from), you can get a subscription.
Note: If you have a Roll20 Plus or Pro Subscription, you get the Demiplane Subscription automatically!
