You can create a new Adventure Portal on Demiplane by selecting the “New Portal” button in the top right corner. If you’re already in a Portal on mobile, you’ll need to navigate back to the home screen before opening a new Portal.
To summon your new Portal, enter the name of your Adventure, select the Game System you’ll be using, and indicate whether players will be paying for Adventures hosted within this Portal. You can learn more about paid Adventures here.
Once you have your new Adventure Portal, Demiplane offers multiple ways to stay connected with your friends and fellow Adventurers: text channels, voice chat, and video.
Using Demiplane’s Text Chat
There are four text channels in every Portal, so you can keep conversations and alerts organized while still giving everyone plenty of room to plan your next dungeon crawl:
- Game Chat: This channel is home to your Portal’s dice rolls, system-generated messages, and any game-related banter.
- Party Chat: A channel dedicated to the best part of Demiplane - your Adventuring Party! You don’t have to worry about any dice rolls or system-generated messages clogging up this channel.
- Player Chat: This is a player-only channel that can be used to plot your enemy’s demise.
- Private Chat: Looking to send a private message? This is how to reach out to an individual member of your Adventure Portal directly. Select the avatar of someone in your Portal to open a Private Chat.
Using Demiplane’s Voice & Video Chat
Demiplane’s voice and video channel is where you can hang out over, well, voice and video. There’s no calling or ringing required - just click the camera (video) or microphone (voice only) button to activate either connection. Friends in your Portal will be able to see you’re using video or voice, and can join to say hello or maybe start rolling initiative!
Note: Demiplane’s Voice and Video channels are not currently available on Mobile.
